This model is generally used to describe the strength limit and failure process of metal materials in the environment of large strains, high strain rates and high temperatures. In Johnson cook strength model, yield stress is determined by strain, strain rate and temperature. The formula of JC model is based on experiments. In JC model, flow stress or yield stress can be expressed in the following forms:
